For as long as it has been around, the Gaspee Days Committee has worked closely with its community neighbors, municipal leaders, and state lawmakers to provide the Cities of Warwick and Cranston as well as the State of Rhode Island with quality, fun, and family-friendly events to commemorate our great state’s history and to promote family and community togetherness.
Throughout the years, it has been and will always remain our number one priority to establish and maintain public safety and order at all of our events so that they may continue to bring joy and celebration to the neighborhood for years to come.
In our continued effort to keep our patrons and vendors safe, we must ask that all peddling and solicitation including, but not limited to, musical performance and sidewalk soliciting be sanctioned by the Gaspee Days Committee and licensed by the City of Warwick Police Department.
With this policy in effect and in accordance with Chapter 46-2.A of Warwick city ordinances, the solicitation or performance of wares or services of any kind without contract and license is strictly prohibited. Anyone in violation of this policy will be asked to leave immediately; non-compliance will be dealt with accordingly.
We thank the members of all communities, near and far, for their continued support and hope that all will enjoy our events this year and may continue to do so for many years to come.
