A steel silhouette of the H.M.S. Gaspee was given to the Gaspee Day Committee on April 24, 1976 by Blount Marine of Warren. It has been used in the Reenactment of the Burning of the Gaspee since then. The Reenactment is always the last day of the year's celebration. It is ten feet high and 20 feet long and floats on styrofoam pontoons. Gasoline doused paper is ignited to simulate the actual burning of the ship.
